Rainy but Beautiful Beach Engagement Photos in Michigan
When it comes to love stories, Michigan has a special place in so many hearts. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting countless couples who, after leaving the state to explore new horizons across the United States, have decided to return to the mitten for their wedding days. Melissa and Adam are one such couple, and for their engagement session, they embarked on a delightful South Haven beach escapade. While their wedding day promises to bring together their loved ones at THE Big House, their engagement session was a chance to add a touch of adventure to their journey.
Fortunately, we managed to schedule their session during a weekend when they were attending a friend’s wedding. However, this meant we couldn’t reschedule if the weather took a turn. Despite the forecast predicting a drizzle all day, we decided to embrace the elements and make the most of it.
As luck would have it, the light rain allowed us exclusive access to the enchanting South Beach in South Haven. Melissa and Adam’s affection for each other shone through as they cozied up beneath one of my transparent umbrellas, sharing laughter and sweet moments together. The romantic ambiance of the beach provided the perfect backdrop for their love to blossom.
Moving on to the second part of our session, we ventured up to my favorite spot at South Beach: the mesmerizing dunes. Standing atop these majestic, sandy formations made us feel like we were on the top of the world just a little bit. It was a perfect fit for Melissa and Adam, who are true adventurers at heart. This location brought out their vibrant personalities even more, showcasing their ability to seize the day regardless of the circumstances. Photographing them was an absolute joy!
Speaking of their vibrant spirits, it brings me to an exciting tibit about their wedding day—Melissa and Adam are proud alumni of the University of Michigan. And guess what? They’ve chosen The Big House as the venue for their upcoming wedding! This celebration will be nothing short of grand, and I can’t contain my excitement to capture their special day through my lens.
