I’m so excited to share images from this past weekend’s wedding because their original plan didn’t work thanks to Covid-19 regulations and executive orders but her parent’s house happened to have one of the best backdrops ever! This was obviously the PERFECT location since the newlyweds had a romantic, sunflower and blue-inspired wedding! Katie & Cooper thought this thing through from beginning to end, and there wasn’t a shortage of dreamy, Pinterest-worthy moments. So, for that moment where the venue turned into a backyard wedding instead of a greenhouse one, we really made every second count!
From the beginning of the day where the ladies were all glammed up thanks to Pure Eden Salon and About face while Elegant Designs LLC ensured that both ceremony and reception were set to perfection. This all ensured that Katie & Cooper got to be more in the moment for their wedding! I especially loved that Katie admitted that her cheeks hurt from smiling so much as we were BEGINNING portraits with her bridesmaids! That phrase might have been the best way to start a wedding day I’ve ever had and it’s all thanks to her having all the right people around her including her incredible bridesmaids!
Other favorites moments of mine included seeing Cooper’s reaction as Katie walked down the aisle and then as he beamed with glee when they were finally next to one another just made my heart burst, you’ll just have to see that moment in the photos below! While there are so many adorable moments between these two, we also need to talk about the fun moments because I got to share a moment with Katie’s mom as she asked River if he had fun walking down the aisle as ring bearer and he very seriously said no! That is a moment I’ll personally never forget because it’s the exact opposite thing I saw in my camera as he was cheesing extra hard while walking proudly to his dad!
We also can’t miss the farming machinery that decided to make an appearance twice that day and almost kicked up dust everywhere just for it to magically disappear at the right time for both the ceremony and golden hour portraits! These are just some of the many joys and unpredictable events of a backyard wedding but they always make for a good story!
As you continue to go through this sneak peek at Katie & Cooper’s big day please wish them congratulations at the end and check out the amazing vendor team that made it happen!
