Lake House Wedding with Country Club Reception | Tierra & Mitch

Today’s blog is all about the party that went from a private, lake house wedding ceremony to a country club reception. From the time I started photographing a few of the wedding details and Tracy of Park Place Design was getting the ceremony set up to be extra beautiful at the lake house, we could hear the music pumping and the girls all singing while the ladies got their hair and makeup done. If that’s not the set up of a good day, I’m not sure what is!

I can also inform you that while I do have several really nice, formal photos of the wedding party…you might notice a few…well, let’s just say ‘entertaining’ ones as the day progressed on the party bus as we traveled from the lake house to the country club. It was a non-stop stream of laughing, dancing and drinks flowing!

While there was a whole lotta fun, let’s not forget that Tierra & Mitch were the reason we even had this fun day. They started dating in 6^th grade and in 7th grade, unfortunately, Mitch broke Tierra’s heart and while he regretted it almost immediately, Tierra didn’t let things stop her from figuring more out about who she wanted while Mitch had to patiently wait for another chance in high school. They both gave each other a second chance and it has led us all to Saturday as these two tied the knot finally!

I think this might be why you saw that mingled in with the joyous events were some genuinely sweet moments, as well. I loved when Mitch couldn’t contain his emotion as Tierra walked down the aisle. When Tierra got both of her parents to cry as she gave them special gifts or watching Sal’s hugs get bigger as she danced with Mitch during the reception. Or watching the many tears form during several of the toasts only to be diffused by a remixed song performed by BJ & Ryan. It seemed to be the theme of the day that while there were many emotional moments, there were equally as many laughs and moments of crazy dance moves! Just goes to show that fun and love go together really, really well.
