Lakehouse Wedding | Jena & Jonathan - Stephanie Parshall Photography

People! I am so excited to share Jena and Jonathan’s Lakehouse Wedding in St. Joseph, Michigan with you today, which could have seriously been featured (and very well may be in the future) in ANY bridal magazine across the world. These two have impeccable taste, to the point where I cannot even describe how perfect every single detail was. It’s a good thing I’m a photographer, then, right?!?!

Jena said they wanted a whimsical, romantic wedding with lots of fun added in and that is exactly what I saw behind my camera lens all day! From the insanely gorgeous clear top tent to the signature drinks named after their two puppies, Remy & Lily, to the vines that Park Place Design hung, there wasn’t a thing that wasn’t thought of and carefully planned and if their was, Scout of Stellaluna Events had it taken care of.

Although their wedding might not have been what they originally planned in Kalamazoo, they were able to bring elegance to the lakeshore at Lakehouse Restaurant in St. Joe. That initial disappointment disappeared when Jonathan finally saw Jena in her wedding dress during their First Look. He could not stop talking about how beautiful she was and they both cried well-deserved tears of happiness in that moment.

Actually, I think that’s the sentiment that all of their family and friends felt on Saturday. A feeling of being able to see happiness and love finally come together after months of confusion and frustration with an original plan completely thrown out the window. What a joy it was to photograph you on this special day, you two. I hope your years are full of happiness, light and just as much beauty!
