Saugatuck Dunes State Park Engagement | Rebecca & Eric

Saugatuck Dunes State Park Engagement

What’s the best combination for any engagement session? Ice Cream, yachts, and the beach dunes. Welcome to Rebecca & Eric’s Saugatuck Dunes State Park Engagement session! While most of the time, we immediately start with the hike out to the dunes, Rebecca has a request…

An Ice Cream request.

And how do you deny that?!?! You don’t! So off to Kilwin’s we went for a little ice cream date for Rebecca and Eric and then a short walk to the river where the sailboats and yachts would be for photos! One of the reasons why I love this small town is because everywhere you look, it’s perfectly aesthetic and no long walks! We also got quite lucky because the weather was threatening rain all day so it kept tourists away and we basically got all of downtown Saugatuck and the dunes to ourselves!

The very first photo you’ll see when you start scrolling is quite possible a brand new all-time favorite of mine because I love that you have to look again to find my couple in the photo while it also now looks like they own this gorgeous sailboat. It was fun to have them think about what it would be like to own such a beautiful boat.

After we enjoyed time on the docks downtown, we did make our way and the short but deceivingly-more-difficult-than-you-would-ever-think mile-long hike through the woods to get to the Saugatuck Dunes State Park beach where Lake Michigan gently kissed the shores. I loved the way Rebecca’s dress would flow in the wind and how Eric always looked so proud to be by her side.

These two were all giggles and cuteness and I know that they will have one of the most unique weddings I’ll ever photograph because their reception space is one of a kind! You can see it all by clicking here!

Can’t wait to photograph you two again on your wedding day!
