Traverse City Michigan Engagement
On an abnormally cloudy day in August, Sarah and Jake had their engagement session at Mission Point Lighthouse in Traverse City, Michigan. This iconic lighthouse is located just a quick drive from downtown Traverse City, but it gives you a feeling of being a million miles away from the rest of the world.
Despite the occasional peek of the sun, the clouds added a moody and romantic atmosphere to the shoot. Sarah and Jake’s love for each other shone through the clouds, making for some truly stunning photos.
Sarah and Jake are a fun-loving couple who complement each other perfectly. They have been together for several years and are so excited to tie the knot next summer at Bay Pointe Woods. I am honored to have been chosen as their wedding photographer and I can’t wait to capture all the special moments of their big day.

Mission Point Lighthouse is one of the most iconic landmarks in Traverse City, and it’s a popular spot for engagement photos. Its location on the tip of Old Mission Peninsula provides a stunning backdrop for any photo shoot, and Sarah and Jake’s engagement session was no exception.
The lighthouse was built in 1870 and is one of the oldest lighthouses in the state of Michigan. It’s still in operation today and serves as an important navigational aid for ships on Lake Michigan. But it’s also a popular tourist attraction and a romantic spot for couples like Sarah and Jake.
Anytime you have a Traverse City engagement session, I personally recommend taking advantage of how much this area is known for its wineries!
