Lincoln Park Chicago Engagement | Caitlin & Jake

Lincoln Park Chicago Engagement

What a whirlwind TikTok has been for me and I’m so entirely grateful that not only have amazing couples listened to the various advice I’ve given, but many have actually hired me to photograph their wedding across the United States now and especially in the Chicago area!

Caitlin and Jake were one of those couples after their wedding venue had made a requirement for all wedding vendors who entered to be fully Covid Vaccinated. Their original photographer had made the choice to not get the vaccine but I had posted about being so excited to be fully vaxxed and boosted a short time after they decided to look for another photographer. Caitlin reached out, we scheduled a video chat for them to make sure I would be the right wedding photographer for them and when they said yes, I was overjoyed!

They feel like the type of couple that you could simply chat with for ages. We literally chatted for over an hour and during their engagement session itself, it felt like meeting up with friends instead of meeting strangers for the first time. When they chose the Lincoln Park area in Chicago for their engagement session, I was excited! I love getting the skyline in as many photos as I can because one day, I would love to actually live and photograph most of my weddings in Chicago!

But back to this couple, they are extra giggly (my fav) and were in great spirits despite the cold and Lakeshore Drive whipping past us. They know the area well so we were able to park near Diversey Mini Golf Lincoln Park and walk under the bridge to a perfect photo location for the iconic Chicago skyline. Truly, this is a new view of the skyline that I will be revisiting when it’s warmer to enjoy a long walk!

If this is any sneak peek into what their wedding day will be like at Moody Tongue Brewing Co, it will be AMAZING!
