Frederik Meijer Gardens Engagement

Sara and Andy’s love story is one for the books. They really lean into one another to go through life and it was evident when I photographed them at one of my favorite locations in Grand Rapids! They chose the beautiful Frederik Meijer Gardens as the location for their engagement session, and it was the perfect choice.
Frederik Meijer Gardens is a breathtaking location with a combination of indoor and outdoor gardens, sculptures, and fountains. It’s an ideal spot for anyone who loves nature and art, and it’s also a perfect location for a romantic engagement session. Sara and Andy wanted to capture the essence of their love in a place that reflected their wedding venue, Southern Exposure. While Frederik Meijer Gardens has a more grand feel, Southern Exposure has an intimate garden vibe.
During the engagement session, I was able to witness Sara and Andy’s connection firsthand. They were so relaxed and comfortable with each other, which made my job as a photographer easy. They were playful and fun, and their love for each other was evident in every shot. As we walked around the gardens, we explored different areas and captured some truly stunning photos.
One of the most impressive things about the Frederik Meijer Gardens is its variety. There are so many different settings and backdrops to choose from, which made for a dynamic and versatile engagement shoot. We started in the outdoor gardens, which had an almost fairy-tale feel to them. The lush greenery, sparkling fountains, and stunning sculptures provided a magical setting for Sara and Andy to create some truly memorable moments.
Sara and Andy’s love is not just romantic, it’s also playful. They are a couple who likes to have fun together, and that was evident during their engagement session. They joked and laughed, and their love for each other was infectious. We were able to capture some truly beautiful moments of them together, and it’s clear that they have a deep connection.
As their wedding photographer, it was an absolute pleasure to work with Sara and Andy. Their love for each other is palpable, and it made for some truly beautiful photos. I’m thrilled to be able to photograph their wedding day, which will take place at the intimate garden venue, Southern Exposure. I have no doubt that their wedding will be just as magical and beautiful as their engagement session.
