Saugatuck Dunes State Park Engagement: A Romantic Photo Shoot with Taylor and Brandon

Saugatuck Dunes State Park is a breathtaking location for an engagement photo shoot, with miles of sandy beach, towering dunes, and that crystal-clear Lake Michigan water. This past weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing Taylor and Brandon at this stunning location, along with a few members of their family and their adorable pets. In this blog, I will share some highlights of the photo shoot, and explain why Saugatuck Dunes State Park is the perfect place for a romantic and unforgettable engagement session.

Saugatuck Dunes State Park is located in southwestern Michigan near Holland, on the coast of Lake Michigan. It is known for its pristine beaches, rolling dunes, and diverse plant and animal life. The park covers over 1,000 acres and offers miles of hiking trails, picnic areas, and campgrounds. It is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, nature lovers, and photographers, who are drawn to its natural beauty and serenity.

Taylor and Brandon chose Saugatuck Dunes State Park as the location for their engagement photo shoot, and it was amazing. They are natural adventurers and wanted a natural and relaxed setting where they could express their love for each other and create beautiful memories. They also wanted to include their furry family members, a cute black cat, and a gorgeous puppy, in the photo shoot, which added an extra layer of joy and cuteness to the experience.

We started the photo shoot with a mile-long hike to the beach, and along the way, I took some portraits of Taylor and Brandon, as well as their pets. The way to the beach is had a beautiful forested look that made for a great setting to get these two used to be in front of the camera.

However, the highlight of the engagement shoot was undoubtedly the beach photos. As we arrived at the beach, we were greeted by the golden hour light, which cast a warm and romantic glow over the sand and the water. Taylor and Brandon looked stunning in their outfits, which complemented each other and the natural surroundings perfectly. They were relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera, and we were able to capture some truly beautiful and intimate moments between them.

Their upcoming wedding in next May will take place at the Little Sable Point Lighthouse, which is also located on the shores of Lake Michigan. This iconic landmark is a beautiful location for a wedding, and we’re excited to see how Taylor and Brandon’s special day will unfold! Make sure to check back here next May!
