Ritz Charles Wedding
International Women’s Day AND celebrating a beautiful Ritz Charles wedding day with two of the most kind-hearted, totally-in-love couples I might have ever met?!?! PLEASE let me always always always relive this day!
You could say I feel a certain way about this wedding because I’ve literally been there since the beginning of their engagement. Well…since I knew about each of their proposals I should say. Yes, I was literally emailing both Kylie AND Micaela about their respective proposals to each another after they found me on TikTok and that somehow led to this past weekend at the Ritz Charles near Indianapolis!
You might not know this but in the beginning Kylie reached out to me simply to say ‘hi, love your photography, hoping to propose to my girlfriend soon!” She was simply reaching out to begin a conversation…what she didn’t know was the Micaela reached out maybe an hour later to ask me to photograph HER proposal to Kylie!
So I spent the next few weeks going back and forth with each of them knowing the ins and outs of their proposal ideas, not telling either of them what the other was thinking, and coordinating it all so I could photograph Micaela’s proposal before Kylie’s proposal.
Obviously, everything went smoothly because each of them said yes and no secrets were given away! And now, I get to share their wedding! People! I am so excited because this day could have seriously been featured (and very well may be in the future) in ANY wedding magazine across the world. These two have impeccable taste, to the point where I cannot even describe how perfect every single detail was. It’s a good thing I’m a photographer, then, yeah?
You might notice they thought of the finer details like making sure Finn had his own vows made on the back of their ceremony programs while also coordinating jewelry so Kylie had rose gold to match her engagement ring and Micaela had silver to match hers. You might also see the bigger details like booking an awesome band like A Night to Remember to get the dance floor hyped up while also surprising everyone with reception dresses and shoes!

When we moved on to their first look, I think I might have held my breath for several moments. This part of the day was something I knew was going to be really special!
Afterward, Finn has to come in and see his lovely Mommas! And maids of honors gave Kylie & Micaela a special gift before we traveled to the Ritz!
This was an unplanned moment and I always take advantage of those on a wedding day! We were waiting for bobby pins of all things and you’d never know, would you?
When laughter and fun of family and friends meet in perfect harmony! This group made the day even better!
I was nearly in tears and I know so many others were too (because I was looking at you all through my lens) as we listened to their vows. Goodness, those were special!
Remember when I mentioned those surprised reception dresses?!?!?! Well here they are!!!
We stole away for a few minutes to get some photos outside because what would a Ritz Charles wedding be without photos like this?!?!
We came right back in to a huge circle on the dance floor with everyone jamming out to “WE ARE FAMILY!!”
