Pine Knob Mansion Wedding | Allison & John

Pine Knob Mansion Winter Wedding

When I first met Allison and John, I knew that I had met a special couple. They had chosen to have a Pine Knob Mansion wedding for the intimate feel, the destination feeling, and the togetherness. It was all of that and beyond!

We started the day in the gorgeous bridal suite at Pine Knob Mansion with all of its natural lighting, window bay area. I was able to see how they incorporated a gorgeous deep forest green into their black-tie wedding day for that perfect wintery touch. I saw the gift John would give Allison, placed their wedding rings so delicately together in the garden roses in Allison’s bouquet from Viviano Flower Shop, and saw her personalized perfume. I loved photographing their details, it truly was the best way to begin this winter wedding day!

From there, we went full steam ahead into John arriving in game day entrance looking a man ready to take in the biggest event of his life, Allison arriving in full Hollywood glam hair that would glisten with snowflakes later, and a vendor team ready to make this wedding day perfect!

Before seeing one another, the two took a few moments outside with Pine Knob’s beautiful window architecture behind them to read their personal vows to one another. They each expressed their excitement for their future, each also needed a tissue as love often shows itself through tears that can’t be contained. This is always one of my favorite forms of love!

It was then time for Allison and John to see one another. A moment I knew they’d be waiting for in anticipation since they got engaged on Belle Isle in Detroit. It was out on a lightly snow-covered path right outside the mansion where John turned around to see Allison’s full wedding day look and to say she took his breath away is an understatement. You can never truly prepare yourself for that moment and I’m so glad these two decided to share it with just one another!

From there, we gathered their awesome wedding party for a few portraits before heading on to Holly Vault Chapel for their ceremony! This gorgeous little chapel had plenty of space for all of Allison & John’s family and friends as they watched these two say “I Do” before throwing petals down the aisle in celebration!

It was after the ceremony and family portraits that we landed at Battle Alley in downtown Holly, Michigan with its picturesque Christmas tree, hanging lights, and the snow really began making an appearance! This short time ended up being perfect because it was before the quaint little town got busy with weekend traffic!

From that fun, the holiday-decorated trolley full with the newlyweds and wedding party made its way back to Pine Knob Mansion where the reception would be! The reception was decorated for Christmas and enhanced with all of Allison & John’s special touches including Bailey’s Signature Cocktail named after their pup!

This part of the day always feels like a rush as Allison and John entered in grand fashion with the whole room erupting in joy to settle down and listening to the speeches of the Maid of Honor, Best Man, and groom’s brother. Each speech was personalized to show just how stubbornly wonderful these two are in their relationship!

First Dances followed dinner, Santa made a special appearance, and Black Tie Productions kept the dance floor flowing! The evening was a beautiful mix of dance moves, laughter, treats, and a whole lotta love!

Before my time was up, Life on Earth Productions and I stole Allison and John away from the crowd for a quick 10 minutes that might be one of my top 10 favorite memories from any wedding day ever! They danced a little outside as the snow fluttered down to the ground in what can only be described as the perfect Hallmark movie scene that’s actually a real-life fairytale. There are only a few couples who can get me to love winter and these two have certainly renewed my heart’s love for snow! I’m so happy with those photos in particular and I can’t wait for you to scroll through and see more of them!

Make sure you tell this couple congratulations at the end and please check out all of the vendors that made this whole day happen!

Congratulations you two!
