Mt Pleasant Engagement | Alex & Bill

Mt Pleasant, Michigan Engagement

If you’re looking for a picturesque location to have an engagement session, look no further than Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. This charming city has a lot to offer, from historic landmarks to stunning natural scenery. And for couples like Alex and Bill, there was no better place to celebrate their love than the place where they first met – Central Michigan University.

Alex and Bill’s love story began during their time at CMU. They both loved the campus and the city of Mt. Pleasant so much that they decided to have their engagement session in the heart of downtown. The city is full of hidden gems and unique spots that make for the perfect backdrop for any photoshoot.

As a photographer, I had so much fun capturing the couple’s infectious laughter and the love they share for one another. Their chemistry was undeniable and it truly made for some stunning photographs.

We started our shoot in Island Park, a beautiful park nestled in the heart of downtown Mt. Pleasant. The park is home to a historic covered bridge, which made for a perfect location to start our session. The bridge’s rustic charm and the lush greenery around us made for a serene and romantic setting.

From there, we wandered around the city’s charming streets and alleyways, taking advantage of the unique architecture and vibrant murals that adorn the city’s buildings. It was clear that Alex and Bill’s love for Mt. Pleasant was not just limited to their time at CMU, but it had become a part of their love story.

Overall, their engagement session was a wonderful celebration of love and the city of Mt. Pleasant. As a photographer, it was an honor to be a part of Alex and Bill’s love story and capture their joy in such a meaningful place. If you’re planning an engagement session, I highly recommend considering Mt. Pleasant as your location. Its charm and beauty will not disappoint.

I’m really looking forward to capturing their wedding day next year (exactly one year from the date of this photo session!) at Four Seasons Event Barn in Lake City! Check back here the first week of July next year to see their wedding blog!

If you’re looking for some tips on how to plan your own engagement session, here are a few things to keep in mind:

  1. Choose a location that is meaningful to you as a couple. Whether it’s the place where you first met, a favorite restaurant, or a scenic spot you both love, the location should reflect your love story.
  2. Coordinate your outfits. Make sure your outfits complement each other and the location. Consider the colors and styles that will work best with the setting.
  3. Have fun! Remember that your engagement session is a celebration of your love, so enjoy the moment and have fun with your partner.
