Gull Lake View Resort Wedding | Sarah & Jovaughn

Gull Lake View Resort Wedding

Stoatin Brae Golf Club

When it comes to photographing weddings, you would think that after working with four couples from the same family, I would know exactly what to expect. However, Sarah & Jovaughn’s wedding at Gull Lake View Resort exceeded all my expectations. Their special day at Stoatin Brae was nothing short of incredible!

The day began with a relaxed atmosphere as I entered the room where Sarah was getting her hair and makeup done. The ladies sought refuge from the heat, and I took the opportunity to capture the intricate details that would give a small insight into the couple’s décor I would see later. This glimpse into their style heightened the anticipation for the moment when everyone would come together.

Then came the main event. Though it was undoubtedly challenging for Sarah and Jovaughn not to see each other, they managed to share a quick moment together with a First Touch. Their nerves were calmed as they excitedly anticipated the joy of finally being united on their wedding day. This day was like the final piece of a puzzle falling into place for them.

As elegantly dressed guests ascended to the highest point in Kalamazoo County, they were greeted by a breathtaking panoramic view and a modern triangle arch. This picturesque setting would witness Sarah & Jovaughn saying their heartfelt vows and joyfully dancing down the aisle in celebration. The ceremony was a beautiful reflection of their desires, with their loved ones offering unwavering support.

The celebration continued down the aisle, reaching its peak when Sarah, Jovaughn, and their immediate families were introduced for their Grand Entrance. It was an absolute delight to capture these joyous moments as the couple embarked on their first dance as newlyweds and later shared special dances with their parents before opening up the dance floor.

From that point on, the night was history. I already knew that Sarah’s family would own the dance floor, but Jovaughn’s side brought an incredible energy as well. It was truly one of the best dance floors I have had the pleasure of photographing this year! I hope you enjoy this glimpse into their extraordinary day and join me in congratulating them on their new chapter as husband and wife!
