What happens when you have a great-looking couple, a gorgeous Northern Michigan Winery, a DJ that will keep the party going all night long, kids that are able to run around to laugh and play, and people who are ready to celebrate big time? You have Jamie & Brad’s Brengman Brothers Winery wedding day!!!!

In true Brad & Jamie fashion, their wedding day started in a way that made sense for them: together. I walked into the bridal suite at Grand Traverse Resort thinking that I would just be surrounded by the ladies and a few guys that would bop in and out but as I greeted everyone, I found Brad, sitting in a chair relaxing with his best man.

While I was surprised, it made perfect sense to start the day off together. Far more relaxed as Jamie finished her makeup and Brad’s groomsmen joined the room. When you’re this close with everyone, why would you say so separate?

Well, we did need to separate them to simply get dressed but that was to keep THE dress from House of Brides a surprise! Right before we left, Brad and Jamie shared their first look and it’s safe to say that Jamie’s dress blew Brad away. She was a stunning bride!

From that first look, we were off to the winery on the other side of Traverse City. We used the lush, green vines as their backdrop for all of the wedding party portraits, get all of their family portraits done (shout out to Charley & Lucy for wing so little and patient and smiling in most of those portraits!), and o course, I had to get just a few of Jamie & Brad by themselves.

I love working at Brengman Brothers Winery for weddings because they really make sure their couples and all of their loved ones are taken care of. Whether that’s with a golf cart ride to get stunning views, water on a hot, August day, or a ladder for me to stand on to get a group photo of everyone! I’ll forever pinky promise Lauren to get the shot, even if that means climbing a ladder!

It was quite evident how much everyone was looking forward to these two tying the knot while they had a light-hearted ceremony, wine was flowing, kids were having the time of their lives, and again, the DJ kept the crowd energized all night long!

As you scroll through these photos, you’ll notice small moments like the conga line for their grand entrance, a butterfly saying hello during the full wedding party portraits, and LOTS of candy which was delightfully consumed!

Congratulations to you two again Jamie & Brad, I loved photographing your wedding day!
