Lakeside Fall Bay Pointe Inn Wedding

When the rain made its appearance on Alex and Matt’s Bay Pointe Inn wedding day, they were all smiles. Some of it was due to the extremely positive attitudes of their wedding party who ensured that the couple never stopped laughing, some of it was due to the perfect-looking fall backdrop of Gun Lake, but Alex and Matt themselves brought on the majority of smiles. By not taking the tiny bit of rain too seriously, when it mattered most, their full wedding day was nothing short of absolute perfection! I can’t wait to share it all with you today!

As I began the day in a fun bridal suite over at Bay Pointe Woods, I saw at least one of the moms and a few bridesmaids checking their twerking skills while Alex got her hair and makeup done. The whole vibe was quite enjoyable as I photographed their details from the invitations to their rings! Once it came time for Alex and Matt to officially get fully ready for the day in their respective locations, it was clear the level of eagerness radiating off of both of them.

Their first look was something you always dream of having because they had their first look overlooking Gun Lake at Bay Pointe Inn and both ended up crying and embracing one another. It was so beautiful to photograph.

As the energy with their first look continued to the laughter of their portraits, I was eager to keep it all going with their full wedding party because this was a great group of people surrounding Ale and Matt with love!

Shortly after, it was time for Alex to share a first look with her dad, take a few immediate family portraits, and finally, it was time for their ceremony.

The moment of truth!

The rain began in a mist and continued through half of their ceremony but at no point did I see a look of concern on either this couple’s faces. In fact, quite the opposite as their laughter warmed their family and friends in attendance, and just like that, the sky stopped raining just in time for their first kiss!

And with that first kiss as husband and wife came the whirlwind of cocktail hour, grand entrances, beautiful toasts, crazy dance moves, drinks, and fun!!!!
