Discovering the profound connection that brings two souls together – the shared laughter, the mutual care, the radiant smiles that light up the room. These are the moments that resonate with me, and Megan and Russell’s exceptional bond was no exception. Photographing their remarkable wedding at the Inn at St John’s Resort was an absolute dream! We’re weaving together grand florals, cherished Greek traditions, a circle of wonderful people, and so much more!

My day commenced at The Inn at St. John’s, where the excitement of the impending celebration was palpable. Megan, brimming with anticipation, was getting her hair done, radiating infectious energy. Having smoothly navigated their rehearsal the day before, the entire wedding party was enthusiastic about creating an unforgettable day. Venture just down the hall, and you’d likely catch the resonating laughter of Russell and his groomsmen echoing from their suite.

Megan and Russell epitomize thoughtfulness, always ensuring the well-being of others. Today, however, was dedicated entirely to them. From Megan’s mother delicately assisting with her wedding gown, to Cas going from room to room with his gleaming peach beverage – feeling quite the grown-up with his fancy cup – and Russell’s palpable jitteriness, eager to see his bride. The prelude flowed effortlessly, and before we knew it, the time had come for them share their First Look and exchange personal vows in the courtyard.

The anticipation was electric; I couldn’t discern who was more thrilled for the moment. Capturing their First Look was a breathtaking experience. Each tearing up when seeing one another. A journey long in the making, their vows – composed independently, unbeknownst to each other – were almost identical.

It became even more evident that Megan and Russell had surrounded themselves with an ensemble of supportive, humorous, and remarkable individuals as we seamlessly captured the wedding party portraits. After, we ventured to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church for the ceremony, where the vibrant ambiance beautifully complemented the ornate murals, artwork, and ceremonial space. Every detail accentuated the Greek Orthodox ceremony.

I had the privilege of capturing the intimate moments – the glances Russell directed at Megan like she is his entire world, the parents’ emotions visible from the front pew, and the sheer exuberance and JOY evident as the couple walked down the aisle as one.

The tapestry of joy continued as Megan and Russell entered the Grand Ballroom at Saint John’s Resort.
